It is hard to believe that summer is almost over, but I’ve already started seeing Halloween decorations in stores. Our time to get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather will be ending soon.

That is why you should all go to Detroit Summerfest this weekend. It starts on Thursday, August 25 and ends on Sunday, August 28.

The best part of Summerfest is that it utilizes all of the different parks in downtown Detroit. There will be things happening at Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, Capital Park, Grand Circus Park, and Paradise Valley.

There will be tons of entertainment, art, music, food for people of all ages during Summerfest. There really is something for everyone during this fun festival.

George Clinton 2

My top pick for the entire weekend is George Clinton & The Parliament Funkadelic. If you have never seen them live, now is your chance. They will be performing on Friday night at 9:00 PM in Campus Martius Park.
