One of Detroit’s most popular breweries, Atwater, has announced a 5,000-square-foot expansion set to open on Wednesday, November 25, the biggest bar night of the year. CONFIRMED: Nike To Open Store In Downtown Detroit

Mortgage and real estate mogul Dan Gilbert confirmed the rumors today via Twitter that a Nike Store will be opening at 1261 Woodward in downtown Detroit. The store will have two levels and be 22,000 square feet in size. Occupancy rates for housing in the greater downtown area of Detroit are through the roof, at somewhere around 98% depending on the month. The $4 million development led by Barbat Holdings brings some “workforce housing” (as labeled by the developers) and retail space.
