There will be a new store opening in Utica at the end of July. 2nd & Charles will be opening the second location in Michigan in the Utica Park Place shopping center.
If you have never heard of 2nd & Charles, here is the run down. They buy and sell new and used books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, video games, game systems, vinyl records, comic books, electronics, toys, and collectibles. If you want to sell your stuff to 2nd & Charles you can redeem it for cash or store credit. Think of it as an updated used bookstore.
“2nd & Charles offers a very different kind of shopping and trading experience,” said Scott Kappler, vice president of marketing for 2nd & Charles. “Utica’s dynamic energy makes it the perfect place to further expand our presence in Michigan, and we look forward to sharing all the personal and profound treasures that 2nd & Charles has to offer with the community.”
The new location will be 30,000 square feet and will feature an on-site coffee bar called the ChuckStop. Customers will be able to grab a coffee and snack while perusing the aisles of movies, books, and vinyl records.
As with any new store opening, they will be looking to hire employees. 2nd & Charles said management will be looking to hire more than 50 people in the coming weeks. If we hear more about a job fair we will keep you updated.
The new location will be at 45290 Utica Park Boulevard in Utica.
