Having a few artists in the family, it’s amazing how they can repurpose things and make beautiful items out of what at first seems like nothing.
But that “nothing” is something, and this is a town that’s always looking for a good deal.
So when got word that the organizers of Detroit Rummage and Detroit Artist Bazaar have once again combined the two annual sales events into one called the Detroit Artist Clearance & Artist-to-Artist Sales Event, we thought we’d share.
The sale on April 2, 2017 at the Tangent Gallery will from noon to 6 p.m. Admission will be free and there will be soft drinks and alcohol for purchase at the all-ages event.
For bargain art lovers, there will be old, used and overstock art at clearance out-the-door prices. For the thrifty artists out there, there will be extra supplies, used equipment, found items and unneeded materials.
Monster Foods will be there as well offering a variety of fresh and healthy vegetarian fair. To be honest, I can’t remember the last time I was at the Tangent and the sun was up. But this seems worth checking out for the artistically inclined.
Here’s the Facebook event.
The Tangent Gallery / Hastings Street Ballroom is at 715 East Milwaukee Street in Detroit.
