Automation Alley and several of its members – business owners from the Southeast Michigan region – will soon embark on a trade mission and put Michigan on the global business world’s map.
They will attend Hannover Messe from April 25-29. The event is the world’s largest industrial trade show and is often billed as a world of technology under a single umbrella. Last year’s show saw over 6,500 exhibitors from 70 nations.
During their time at Hannover Messe, the Michigan-based businesses will showcase their products and have the opportunity to connect with foreign investors. They’ll also help to position Michigan as a manufacturing powerhouse and a global center of innovation. In turn, that could lead to high exports for the state and create high-paying jobs to the region.
However, Hannover Messe isn’t just about exporting more goods. It’s also about attracting businesses to Michigan.
During this event, the U.S. will be Hannover Fair’s “Partner Country”, so the U.S. will be the focal point in terms of promoting American ingenuity, technological prowess, and the high quality of U.S. made products and services. President Obama is set to keynote the opening ceremony.

Automation Alley is also organizing future trade missions to Mexico and Cuba later this year. Next year, they plan to go to Australia and the Paris International Air Show.
