The pace of Woodward Avenue development is quickening, sometimes with small and sometimes with large developments as we get closer to the opening of the Q-LINE.
One of those developments is the opening planned for this summer of “For The Love Of Sugar,” a specialty bakery owned by Manal Hussein.
It’s going to open in The Scott, a 199 residential unit building that recently finished construction, at 3150 Woodward.
The 1,500-square-foot bakery will offer a range of sweet treats with a focus on macaroons and specialty made-to-order cakes in a variety of unique flavors. For The Love Of Sugar will also do cake creations for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions.
Some of the flavors include Nutella, Forrero Rocher and Fruity Pebbles.
Additionally, according to a statement, they will offer coffee and a healthy grab-and-go lunch menu.
If you’re looking for a job, the owner plans to hire eight to ten people to fill open positions at the bakery, such as baristas, bakers and cake designers. Those interested in open positions can send their resumes to ForTheLoveofSugar14@gmail.com.
Below we’ve included some more pics of the sugary goods they sent along.
Earlier this week we brought you news of a new coffee shop going in next to Grey Ghost on Woodward, just down the street from the Scott. More here.
