Detroit’s first-ever walkthrough billboard is also a bar. The billboard is at 2000 Michigan Avenue in Corktown, next to the Gaelic League.
Once you’re inside you can try Best Damn Apple Ale, a new beer from Best Damn Brewing Company, as well as a couple other standard beer selections. Detroit is one of only two cities the new beer is being launched in.
Local artisans Woodward Throwbacks, Long White Beard, Butter Bean Antiques, and Sit On It Detroit are showcased all weekends.
You can also catch tunes from local bands, play Cornhole and jumbo Jenga and get your picture taken next to a life-size bottle opener.
This weekend’s events (Nov. 6-7) includes an opportunity to paint by numbers with local artist, Jesse Kassel. In addition, we’ll have live music from Detroit’s Eddie Logix + Sleepless Inn and Detroit Hustles Harder’s truck with merchandise for sale. The charity partner is is The Empowerment plan, a Detroit non-profit dedicated to serving the homeless in our community.
Next weekend (Nov. 12-14) will feature live music from Detroit musicians Greater Alexander and Kysia, a local artist will create and raffle a Detroit Riverfront mural, and guests can write their favorite memory on Detroit Riverfront postcard, which will be mailed to random Detroit zip codes.
Hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.; November 5 – 7 and November 12 – 14. Must be 21 to enter.
