There has been a lot of online commotion around Mark Wahlberg being the state. Whenever he shows up people seem to go wild. Thursday he made a surprise visit to his Wahlburgers location in Detroit’s Greektown to thank employees and customers.
“We’ve got a couple locations we will be announcing soon,” Wahlberg told Fox 2. “One in Taylor, one somewhere close by at Woodward and 13 Mile, we are excited.”
The location in Taylor is going to be next to the Home Depot at 21100 Penn and replace the Big Boy that is closing soon, according to the News-Herald.
Not only does Wahlberg want to keep opening restaurants here, but also making movies in Michigan because “people are so talented here” to according WXYZ, but he’s putting more locations of his signature Wahlburgers in Metro Detroit.
Wahlberg isn’t from Metro Detroit, but from the looks of his extremely warm reception he may be turning into an adopted son. He’s originally from the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston.
