What’s up Detroit! As we begin our plummet into the Fall season, it’s getting hard to ignore that the jackets are coming out of storage, and that pumpkin spiced everything will soon take over our social media feeds yet again. But, don’t start snapping pictures of changing leaves just yet, because we’ve got a weekend of great outdoor events that will help you enjoy the last sips of summery goodness while you still can.
Dally in the Alley — Saturday 11 a.m.-11p — Detroit
On Saturday, head down to Cass Corridor for the 38th edition of the Dally in the Alley Street Fair. This annual celebration of music, art, and life in general, will feature endless entertainment for Detroiters of all ages.
There will be over 200 arts and crafts vendors, as well as food from the Majestic Café, Treat Dreams Midtown, Union Street, and more!
In addition to the great food and art, there is an eclectic array of local music featuring The Hand Grenades, Valley Hush, Pink Lightning, and countless others.
Lastly, from 12-4pm the little ones can enjoy the kids fair, which will feature games, face painting, and all sorts of other activities to keep them entertained all afternoon.
Admission to the event is free and it runs from 11am-11pm on Saturday.

Ann Arbor Home Grown Festival — Saturday 6p-10p — Ann Arbor
If Dally is a little too hectic for you, or you’re just looking to get out of the D for a day, then consider checking out the 8th annual Ann Arbor Homegrown Festival at the Ann Arbor Farmers market.
A celebration of all things Michigan, the event will feature a variety of local food producers and growers, as well as other Ann arbor and Michigan based businesses displaying their goods, including The Brinery, Earth and Jar, Zingermann’s, and more. Better still, you can wash down your eats with great Michigan beer, wines, ciders, and even kombucha.
The theme for this year’s festival is pollinators, so you’ll also enjoy raw honey tastings, an observation hive and more, all to help raise awareness of around this important topic.
Admission to the festival is free and it runs from 6-10 PM. Parking in the downtown area will also be free, so access to the event will be a breeze.

Renaissance Festival — Saturday and Sunday 10a-7p — Holly, MI
Hear ye, hear ye, the Michigan Renaissance Festival is back in action!
Make the trip out to Holly this weekend to check out one of their acclaimed theme events. This weekend’s theme is wonders of the world, and will feature belly danc championships, an arm wrestling completion and more, all in addition to the renaissance staples we all know and love.
The festival doors area open from 10a-7p and tickets are $21.95 for adults, and just $12.95 for kids. So dust off your knight or fair maiden costume and enjoy one of the weirdest wonders fall in Michigan has to offer.

Historic Indian Village Garage Sale — Saturday and Sunday 9a-5p — Detroit
On both Saturday and Sunday, take a stroll through one of Detroit’s most beautiful historic neighborhoods, as you hunt for great deals and vintage treasures in the Indian Village garage sale. Featuring more than 75 stately mansions, you’ll find antiques, china, books, furniture, clothing, and so much more.
The event runs from 9a-5p on both Saturday and Sunday and admission is free, so don’t miss your chance to score great deals on some amazing artifacts.

Detroit Gatsby Lawn Party — Sunday 11a-5p — Detroit
If you’ve always dreamed of lavish lawn parties and sipping champagne fit for royalty, then check out the first Gatbsy Lawn party in Palmer Park this Sunday.
The themed event celebrates the unique character of Detroit in the 1920s and 30s, complete with jazz age entertainment, food and merchandise vendors, and plenty of great activities for the whole family.
