Crash Detroit
I'm going to let you in on a secret about myself. I really hate crowds and I always have good intentions of going to festivals but I often just get overwhelmed at the idea of going to one. But Crash Detroit is different. This is one of the only festivals that I get pumped to go to.

Beacon Park Opening Weekend
Beacon Park officially opens on Thursday, July 20 but the party will be going all weekend.
There is four days of activities planned to celebrate the park opening.

Doggy Carnival
Bring your favorite furry friend down to Grand Circus Park this Saturday for the Doggy Carnival.
There will be carnival-themed activities especially for dogs. LC's Mobile Pet Spa will be offering free spa services, and City Bark will be bringing special treats.
The event is free to attend.
The party will take place from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The dog park is open daily year-round, from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
Say It Loud: Art, History, Rebellion Exhibit Opening
The Charles H. Wright Museum will be opening their exhibit commemorating the 1967 rebellion called "Say It Loud: Art, History, Rebellion.
There are two parts to this exhibition.
The first part of the exhibit will be photographs and quotes installed outside on the museum grounds.
The second exhibit will be located inside the AT&T and Chase Galleries and will feature works from over 40 nationally recognized artists. Their art will illustrate the awe, tragedy, and potential for transformation when people rebel.
Along with the opening of the exhibit there are a ton of different programs planned over the weekend and through the end of the month. You can find all of the information on The Wright's website.
The exhibit is free with admission to the museum.
Admission to the museum is Adults (13 – 61) $8, Seniors (62 +) $5, Youth (3 -12) $5. Children under 3 are free.
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

May Contain Fruit
The Scarab Club, one of the Detroit's oldest art institutions, is opening their exhibition "May Contain Fruit" this Friday night from 5-8 p.m.
