There has been a lot of press about Detroit Dough which is the new cookie dough shop that will be opening in the NW Goldberg neighborhood of Detroit.

Cookie dough lovers will be able to choose between Detroit Dough’s five safe to eat flavors.
The popup will take place Thursday, November 9 through Saturday, November 11 at The Detroit Clothing Circle.

Merry Mitten Holiday at Pages Bookshop
One of my favorite gifts to give children are books, because reading is fundamental.
If you have children in your life, be it your own or nieces and nephews I suggest going to Pages Bookshop this Saturday, November 11 to pick up some children’s books.
While you’re there there will be four local children’s book authors in the store to sign their books.
Hours: 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Pages Bookshop is located at 19560 Grand River Avenue Detroit, Michigan 48223
P.S. While you’re there might I suggest picking up Karen Dybis’s newest book “The Witch of Delray: Rose Veres & Detroit’s Infamous 1930’s Murder Mystery”. If you have yet to listen to our Daily Detroit Happy Hour podcast with Karen you’re missing out.
25 Hour Improv-A-Thon Fundraiser
Planet Ant has been working really hard to raise $35,000 to help finish the renovations on The Ant Hall, which they purchased last year.
If they raise the $35,000 by midnight of Monday, November 13 the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) will match their donations.
In ordrer to help raise these funds they are holding a 25 hour Improv-A-Thon fundraiser.
Between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. there will be a line up of stand up comedians and improv troupes performing.
The Improv-A-Thon will begin at midnight and will end at 1:00 a.m. on November 13.
Improvisors have collected pledges for consecutive 15 minute blocks of improv performed.
There is no admission fee, however there is a suggested donation of $5 per person. Dig deep people this is a fundraiser after all, and The Planet Ant needs your help.
If you can’t make it to the Improv-A-Thon but would like to donate to their Patroncity campaign you can do so here.
The Ant Hall is located at 2320 Caniff Avenue Hamtramck, Michigan 48212

There is only one person I know that does not like Labyrinth and that is my best friend Giulia.
So unless you are a weirdo like her, you need to get your tickets to Labyrinth at the Redford Theater this Saturday, November 11.

Children are welcome to attend as well.
Tickets are $10 per person. I suggest you purchase them soon. Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
