There were a lot of great events happening this weekend. I have a feeling that people will find something that they will enjoy to do.

All I can say is get outside and enjoy this beautiful late summer weather.

DIY Street Fair – Ferndale

Come out to Ferndale on Saturday or Sunday for the DIY Street Fair. This event is a ton of fun, and is filled with 125 artists and vendors selling their wares. There will also be 65 bands performing over the two days. You can find the line up here.

What type of event would this be if there weren’t food trucks? Of course there will be food trucks. They will be dispersed though out the fair. If food trucks don’t strike your fancy, you can go to any of the great restaurants in Ferndale.

Come for the art and stay for the beer, because there will be 28 Michigan Micro brews on tap. If you don’t like beer, that’s ok because there will be cocktails and wine there as well.

Bring the kids as well, because there will also be a kid zone. Take the kids to the Ferndale Public Library to celebrate National Batman day.

The DIY Street Fair will take place on East 9 Mile between Woodward and East Troy Street (behind the WAB and Emory). Don’t forget you will need to pay for parking on in one of the many Ferndale parking lots if you go on Saturday. Parking is free on Sunday.
