Tickets are now available for the 2016 Corporate & Community Wellness Forum presented by Health Alliance Plan (HAP). Businesses and leading southeast Michigan health and human services agencies will collaborate to discuss how to manage the benefits, goals and measurement of long-term workplace wellness programs. The event starts on Wed. Sept. 28 at 7:45 a.m. at the University of Detroit Mercy. Tickets are available for $30 per person.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, public health director for the City of Detroit and executive director of the Detroit Health Department will serve as the keynote speaker. Dr. El-Sayed is a public health physician, epidemiologist and internationally recognized expert in population health policy, the social causes of health and health inequalities.
Other speakers include DeAndre Lipscomb, vice president of marketing & community outreach for HAP, Tom Spring, director of wellness and community for HAP. Phil Wills, principal of Booz Allen Hamilton, Hector Hernandez, executive director for Southwest Economic Solutions and Tia Marie Sanders, program coordinator for Feed the Need Novi will serve as panelists.
The forum will take place on Wed. Sept. 28 from 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the University of Detroit Mercy Student Center, Ballroom (second floor) located at 4001 W. McNichols Road in Detroit. The $30 cost includes a continental breakfast.
