Finding a job can be a lengthy, daunting task. It often seems like you don’t know the right people, or you can’t find the right company. Finding the right employees can be just as frustrating. If you’re an IT professional – be it job seeker or recruiter – kiss your frustration goodbye and plan to attend IT in the D’s Pink Slip Party.
The Pink Slip Party (PSP) is a great chance for both recruiters and job seekers to meet and network. The events often boast over 150 recruiters and 1,000 attendees.
The next PSP is happening on Thursday, September 17 at the Majestic Theater. It starts at 5 p.m., and there’s no cover charge at the door.
You won’t be subject to lengthy sales pitches or insurance folks. This event is focused on information technology professionals, and it provides awesome networking and career opportunities. More than 1,200 people have found jobs through PSPs.
Here’s how it works: Recruiters will get lanyards with a badge, so they’re easily identifiable. Job seekers will get name tags, so there’s no confusion about who’s interested in a job. The PSP also has sponsors – companies looking to hire.
Sponsors are the only companies that get to set up a table and really push their employment opportunities. For a list of sponsors, head over to itinthed.com/sponsors.

What are you waiting for? This is a great chance to network and engage with other IT professionals in Detroit, so clear your calendar for Sept. 17 at 5 p.m.
