One of the area’s growing businesses, Ferndale-based Detroit Grooming Co., is supporting cancer research and programs through their new Pink Ribbon, a raspberry vanilla mint-scented pale pink bar soap starting on October 1.
The Michigan-made brand has teamed up with Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and will donate 20 percent of all sales from this product to support breast cancer research and programs.
“Detroit Grooming Company has always supported men’s health issues through our No Shave November programs, and will continue to do so,” said Chad Buchanan, director of marketing and development for the brand. “We know how pervasive cancer is. All of our lives are impacted by this disease. We wanted to do what we could to support the fight against breast cancer and will begin with a product that we think will appeal to everyone.”
Pink Ribbon bar soap will be available for sale beginning Oct. 1, 2016 at www.detroitgrooming.com. Cost is $8.99 per bar.
