I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven, a Michigan-based non-profit 501 (c)(3), is having an open house fundraiser on Saturday, Sept 19 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at their new facility located at 22415 Groesbeck Highway, Warren, MI 48089.
It is a family and dog friendly event featuring a dog agility course, police K9 unit demos, and a dog kissing booth. Emcee’d by Kimberly Craig from WXYZ TV 7 Detroit with the special guest being radio personality Allyson Martinek, it looks to be a fun one.
For the humans attending the event there will be food, carnival games, a silent auction and raffle prizes including a 50″ flat screen smart TV, a BMX bike and Detroit Tigers infield box seats.
Their mission is to lead the no-kill movement by rescuing, rehabilitating, re-homing and providing a place of refuge for homeless dogs, while also providing a haven for the pets belonging to domestic violence survivors.
Proceeds from the event will go to building renovations including plumbing updates, fencing and a ventilation system.
