Word is that it is a “total wipeout” with “bosses going through the building and deciding who stay and who goes” according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Martha Ford, Lions Owner and Chairman of the Board, held a presser at 2 p.m. today where she confirmed these reports and that head coach Jim Caldwell still has his job.
“We are very disappointed with the results of the season so far, and believed a change was necessary,” said Lions owner Martha Firestone Ford.
The Lions are beginning a national search to manage our team going forward. Sheldon White has been named interim General Manager.
“Our fans deserve a winning football team, and we will do everything possible to make that a reality,” said Ford.
