Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan raised more $420,000 for its Million Meal Match campaign. That translates into more than 1.2 million meals for hungry kids.
During the Million Meal Match campaign, all donations are matched by Gleaners’ partners. This means that every dollar you donate will now feed six hungry kids.
The organization’s main event during the campaign, the Women’s Power Breakfast, took place on April 22, 2015. The 22nd year of the event was a success. Over 650 female business, community, and civic leaders attended to enjoy a good breakfast and networking opportunities.
Even if you didn’t make it to the breakfast, you can still support Gleaners in its fight to end childhood hunger. The Million Meal Match campaign runs through Thursday, April 30.
