Every week I scroll through the internet and my email looking for interesting things that are going on for the weekend.
Today is no exception, and I found Goat Yoga. Yes, Goat Yoga. It is exactly like it sounds, you are doing yoga with kid goats (a.k.a. baby goats) hanging out around you.
Naaaaaaa-maste?
The yoga sessions will be lead by certified yoga instructors Lindsay and Barb from Mueva Fitness. The session will blend movements and gentle stretches that mimic the kid goats.
All you need to bring is your mat and a water bottle. The class will be in a barn setting, so wear something that you won’t mind getting a bit of straw on.
Proceeds from the yoga sessions will benefit Pingree Farms in Detroit.
There will be four sessions offered, and while the March session is already sold out, well, I just thought I’d put it on your radar that Goat Yoga is a real thing now.
The class will be $25 per person, and you can sign up for the class here. There is limited space, so I suggest signing up early. The first class had 80 spots and they sold out in just 48 hours.
The class will be held in the “Empire Building” located at 18639 Omira St. Detroit, MI 48203, located on the corner of Omira and E. Goldengate and is just south of Pingree Farms.
