A chain that was founded by a Metro Detroit native but originated in Dallas is opening their first location in downtown Detroit.
Which Wich, a creation of Jeff Sinelli, will be adding to their more than 300 stores in 37 states (and 8 countries) with the Griswold street location in the historic Penobscot building. Plans are to open in July.
Local franchise owners Mike Berschback and Nabil Shurafa tell Crain’s that it will employ 25-30 people and the buildout cost will be between $300,000-$450,000 for an 1,800 square feet location.
Ordering a Which Wich is a little different than other places. Having experienced their Grosse Pointe store, you used a preprinted bag and markers to select what you want on your sandwich, and you get the sandwich bag in the bag you ordered on.
This will be the fourth metro Detroit location. Which Wich is already in Grosse Pointe, Southfield and Troy.
