After almost three years at the current location on Joseph Campau in Hamtramck the time has finally come for Rock City Eatery to move to the new location in Midtown.
It was reported last September that the owners Nikita Sanches and Jessica Imbronone Sanches had decided to to move the popular restaurant to a larger space on Woodward.
Rock City Eatery is best known for the rotating menu filled with Sanches versions of comfort food, and pie. (Remember when Rock City Pies were at Rust Belt Market in Ferndale? I do.)
The new location in Midtown will have a lunch menu that is filled with the same popular menu choices offered at the Hamtramck location. The dinner menu will be expanded to include small plates, pizza, and entrees.
The official date for the new location to open is September 8. I know we’re excited to check out the new place.
You can bid farewell to the current location on Saturday, August 27. Rock City Eatery will open at 3:00 PM on Saturday. The kitchen will also stay open until 11:00 PM which is an hour later than normal so people can get a chance to dine in the current restaurant one last time.
The current location until after this weekend for Rock City Eatery is 11411 Joseph Campau Avenue, Hamtramck.
If you are interested in grabbing a seat on Saturday you can call and reserve your space at (248) 633-3072.
