The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island has been named the Best Hotel in Michigan by U.S. News & World Report.
This is the second consecutive year that the Grand Hotel has been given this award.
The Grand Hotel has been a Michigan jewel since it opened on July 10, 1887. The 393-room hotel is a National Historic Landmark and has been family owned for three generations.
The hotel was selected based through, according to the publication, an unbiased analysis of awards, guest ratings and expert recommendations.
The Best Hotel in Michigan Award comes on the heels of these three other awards The Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame, USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Historic Hotel and Condé Nast Travelers’s Top 5 Midwest Resorts.
The Grand Hotel will open for the 2018 season in May.
