Tax & Legal Update; NAFTA Panel; Currency Overview
The United States–Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Great Lakes Chapter (USMCOC-GL) will be holding a currency overview on Thursday, April 12.
It will cover all of the hot topics like the changes to the tax law, what is happening with NAFTA, and an overview of the economy and an outlook of interest rates.
The panels will have experts on the topics from Baker Tilly, Miller Canfield, Clayton McKervey, Plante Moran, Butzel and Citi.
Sure, it sounds dry but it’s important information to know if you are in the world of business.
Tickets for the overview are $50.

Detroit Luxury Meetings Summit
If you are a meeting and events planner in metro Detroit you should probably attend this event at the The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
It will be a great opportunity for event planners to network with hoteliers and other people in the industry.
The event is free to attend, but space is limited. So be sure to register.

Business Parents Network – Connecting With Your Ideal Customer/Client
Sometimes it is hard to network when you are working parent, especially when you need childcare.
That is where The Spark Collaborative comes in. They host a monthly event where you can go and network with other professionals and bring your kids.
Volunteer moms from The Spark Collaborative will watch your kids while you network.
This month the focus of the meeting will be how to better reach your target audience and how to connect with your ideal customer or client.
Tickets are $10 and that includes childcare.

Detroit Nonprofit Day
If you work anywhere near the world of nonprofits you should probably attend this one day conference. Heck, if you have a business with a social conscious you should attend this conference as well.
It’s a great opportunity to get the skills, knowledge, and relationships to build a sustainable organization.

NAAAHR- State of Michigan Business and Networking Meeting
State of Michigan Chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources will be holding their bi-monthly meeting in Romulus on Tuesday, April 17.
The meeting will have a special guest, Dr. Rita Fields. Who will speak about how to become a sought after public speaker.
