A car dealership in Brighton has heads turning in traditonal and social media around town thanks to a provocative sign that calls out a local panhandler.
Brighton Honda is at 8294 Grand River, near a busy intersection and close to the ramp for I-96.
The sign reads:
“Please do not give anything to this panhandler. We offered him a fulltime job at $10.00/HR. He said: ‘I make more a day than any of you’ and he did not want a job.”

UPDATE, 4:30 p.m.: According to WXYZ, the panhandler and his son have been arrested for disorderly conduct and vagrancy. The son apparently was “impeding traffic” and intoxicated.
