Let’s face it: Getting your clothes dry-cleaned is a pain. However, on Thursday, July 23, DRYV kicks off the launch of its new app-based service, which hopes to make dry-cleaning a breeze.
From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., DRYV and Bamboo Detroit are hosting a kick-off networking opportunity for Detroiters at Centre Bar, 1407 Randolph St. Attendees will be able to meet DRYV founders and local entrepreneur and local partner in the launch, Wayne Wudyka of Huntington Cleaners. A free drink ticket and appetizers will be available for guests who register. You can RSVP to the event here.
When it comes to laundry, DRYV’s app takes care of everything for you. You no longer have to drop your clothes off at the cleaners. You also don’t have to worry about leaving work early to pick up your clothes. DRYV does it all for you.
Using the app, you can decide when you want your clothes picked up, and DRYV will send someone over to collect your clothes. You’ll be kept up-to-date on your clothes’ progress. When your clothes are clean, you’ll receive an emailed and itemized receipt. You’ll also be alerted when your clothes are ready for delivery. Just schedule your delivery for a time that’s convenient for you.
DRYV, although headquartered in Chicago, “is excited to be in the Detroit market,” according to co-founder Dan Parsons. Their partner locally is Huntington Cleaners, which has been in business in the Detroit area since 1950. It’s one of those oft used businesses that sometimes doesn’t get the recognition for being in the area as long as they have.
Also, service is available on nights and weekends, so it works around your schedule. Go ahead and experience dry cleaning for modern society. Your closet will thank you.
