A property that once was home to an icon of Detroit’s restaurant history is going to see new life. This piece of land that hasn’t been commercially used since Joe Muer’s closed in 1998 is in what is now a prime location. Average Rental Prices Rose Slightly In Detroit, Still Among Lowest In Nation

The city of Detroit as a whole is still one of the lowest-priced markets in the country, but median rental prices are up for one and two bedroom places. According to new proprietary data released by Abodo, rental prices going into October sit at $528 for a one bedroom, up 0.64% from last month. For a two bedroom, it’s $605 a month, up 0.82%. Let's Peek Inside The New Eastern Market Brewing Company

The newest addition to Detroit’s beer scene is the Eastern Market Brewing Company. A project that’s the brainchild of Dayne Bartscht, Devin Drowley, and Paul Hoskin, the loft-like space at 2515 Riopelle Street in Detroit is open and inviting. Having visited the space just as work began last year, the transformation is amazing. They kept the structure of the building, but really added just the right amount of design touch to make the space special. There were just a few beers on tap...

One of the hotter trends in Detroit’s business district is coworking. It’s where there’s shared space, or dedicated offices, but housed or built around a community. This kind of flexible space has been key to many companies coming to Detroit, establishing a beachhead, and then expanding. On October 5, the Detroit Regional Chamber is hosting an event at 8 a.m. to talk about the subject. Topgolf Swing Suite Swings Open Their Doors At MGM Grand

Over the years, I’ve learned golfing is a thing. Although I’m terrible at hitting a stationary little white ball in a desired direction, there are lots and lots of people who at least try to be good at it and have fun. There’s a new Topgolf “Swing Suite” in the MGM Grand Detroit Casino Hotel. It’s in the old Ignite space and has a dedicated elevator up from the casino floor. I’d show you a picture of where that is, but there’s no photography allowed on the casino floor. So here’s the sig...

It is hard to believe that October 1 is this Sunday. I know it is cliché to say that this year is going by so fast, but it really has. This weekend is once again packed full of things to do.
