A New Center parking structure on Baltimore between Second and Third Avenues has just received a $6.5 million dollar facelift. The structure needed structural repairs and a lot of upgrades. Resurfacing Of 8 Mile Between Woodward And M-39 Begins Tonight

A $5.1 million project by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin resurfacing 8 Mile Road (M-102) between Woodward Ave. (M-1) and the Southfield Freeway (M-39). The construction kicks off tonight, Monday, August 14 at 7 p.m. and will run through late October. All told, there will be 4.6 miles of 8 Mile Road resurfaced. $70,110 In Tree Planting Grants Awarded By DTE Energy Foundation, Michigan DNR

Detroit's Motown Mansion Sells For $1.65 Million

After sitting on the market for two years, the historic home formerly owned by Motown Records founder Berry Gordy has been sold for above the asking price. The buyer, according to a press release, is a Detroit native who currently lives in San Francisco purchased the property for $1.65 million. That’s above the $1.595 million asking price.
