Here’s some positive economic news for the Detroit region. The Detroit metro area saw a 2% drop in the unemployment rate from this time last year. That’s the largest drop in any metro area in the United States larger than one million people, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Detroit’s entrepreneurial scene is growing and a big part of that growth, according to a report from HowMuch.net (via Visual Capitalist), is women-owned businesses.
