Last month, Gordon Park on Detroit’s west side hosted a ribbon-cutting with the upgrade of new playground equipment and facilities. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan is getting ready this morning to announce a major effort to lure teachers and other school employees to the city of Detroit: Offering them half-priced homes. Fundraiser To Restore Pewabic Tiles To Belle Isle's Scott Fountain On August 10

The Scott Fountain on Belle Isle is beautiful. But some may remember that at one point, it had even more detail. A Temporary Skate Park Designed In Part By Tony Hawk Is Coming To Downtown Detroit

In January, ground will break on a large project called the “Monroe Blocks.” Until then, there’s going to be a temporary skate park and art installation thanks to Bedrock and the Quicken Loans Family of Companies. A 5,100 square foot, centerhung scoreboard is going to entertain and inform fans at the new Little Caesars Arena when it opens this fall.
