Fitzgerald Neighborhood To Receive $4 Million Matching Grant From Foundations

Foundations are getting are continuing to be a financial catalyst in Detroit’s neighborhoods. The latest announcement comes today that Mayor Mike Duggan will be traveling to Philadelphia to receive a grant of at least $4 million (that the city has matched for a total $8 million) that will be targeted to the Fitzgerald Neighborhood in northwest Detroit, roughly between Marygrove College and U of D Mercy. Labor Day Traffic Fatalities Down This Year In Michigan

The preliminary reports are in and this Labor Day was safer on the roads than last year across the state of Michigan. According to Michigan State Police, traffic fatalities decreased this Labor Day holiday weekend.
