There’s a new tile in Hockeytown, and you can take it home starting October 10.
Local art creators with a long Detroit history, Pewabic, have teamed up with the Detroit Red Wings for an official tile with a portion of the sales benefiting the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. The tile will be released Saturday, October 10 at a release party.
The party at Pewabic’s studio in Detroit will have live music, Amicci’s Pizza (made to order) on site and beer from Atwater. A twelve-inch pizza will be sold for $10. A pint of beer will be sold for $5.
Local singer Nicole New and her band will perform at 2:30 p.m. and jazz musician RJ Spangler and his trio will perform at 6:30 p.m. that day.
The tile is a 4″ x 4″ two-tone with an attractive red mason stain and natural clay body. It’s priced at $60.
The tile will not be solid online, so best get yourself there to get a cool piece of Detroit art.
