The 9th Annual Veterans Day Parade in Detroit, which was held on Saturday, November 8 drew more than 3,100 participants.
This year the parade was a special commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The parade went from the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 9 down Woodward to Comerica Park, where a special ceremony was held immediately following in front of the ballpark.
At the ceremony, General Gwen Bingham delivered the keynote address and Brigadier General Michael A. Stone served as the commemoration emcee. Fourteen Silent Heroes were honored during the ceremony.

P.S. – A special thanks to the Metro Detroit Veterans Coalition (be sure to fan them on Facebook!) for giving us permission to share the photos as well as photographers Jennie Miller and Sgt. Bill Mattocks, USMC.
