If dishes like Baba Ghannouge, Shish Tawook, Shawarma and Falafil make you happy – here’s some good news for you, especially if you live in the northern area of Oakland County.
Anita’s Kitchen, according to a report by the Lake Orion Review, will expand to a second location in downtown Lake Orion. Not only that, they’re building an entire three-story, $2 million building for themselves at 45 Flint Street.
The new location reportedly will have 50-60 seats on the first floor, 50 seats and a bar as well as two offices on the second floor, and a rooftop seating area with a bar and canopy.
It is estimated the development will create 30-35 part time and full time jobs, and has the goal of making downtown Lake Orion more walkable.
Anita’s Kitchen currently is open in Ferndale on Woodward just south of Nine Mile.
More on the ins-and-outs of the development, a rendering as well as the process on the Lake Orion Review.
