Pretty much everyone likes Mudgie’s. Great food, solid drinks – and an awesome new-ish addition of a slightly magical patio out the back.
Well, to add on top of that, Lake Brothers Beer Company, brewed locally at Brew Detroit, is throwing a party and everyone’s invited at this fun Detroit establishment. They’re doing a series of celebrations about the launch of their new lager, and one of them is a big ‘ol party from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Mudgie’s.
So about the beer. Their focus of the beer is that it has just four ingredients: Hops (Liberty and Cluster), malted Midwestern barley, yeast and, of course, Great Lakes water. Their brewmaster is Ken Belau.
The lager clocks in at 5% and aims “to be a reliable, highly drinkable option for craft drinkers while also being an approachable option to those who have historically preferred lighter beer.”
Lake Brothers is a family biz. Founders and brothers-in-law Sean Farrell and Mike Grodecki were inspired by the regional lager brands of yesteryear – you can see it in the design of their can.
“We wanted to pay homage to classic, heritage brands, but also know that today’s beer drinker demands the highest quality,” said Grodecki.
The Lake Brothers Lager is also available in stores across the state.
