We all know Eminem if you’re from Detroit. Between him, Kid Rock and Jack White, they are a big part of the popular music zeitgeist from the city as of late.
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Narc, a movie from 2002 by Joe Carnahan, is going to become a TV show – and not only that, Eminem is in negotiations to join the project as an executive producer and music supervisor as well as write some original songs.
Joe Carnahan has written a pilot script, according to the report, and is set to direct and executive produce the drama for Paramount TV.
[quote_box_center]Like in the movie, which starred Ray Liotta and Jason Patric as Detroit police detectives investigating the murder of an undercover cop, the city will have a major presence on the show, also a crime thriller. It was put in development by Paramount TV about a year ago.[/quote_box_center]
We don’t know yet when it will be on TV or what network you’ll be able to find it at.
If this actually does happen and it gets picked up by a network, this might be among the bigger media spectacles since the show Detroit 187 was a thing. Remember that?
