In a season and a half with the Tigers, Upton hit 59 home runs. Another report says that the Tigers will get pitcher Grayson Long as well as send the Angels a large chunk of cash to offload the contract.
The next home run the 30 year old Upton hits would be the 250th for his career.

For the deal to complete, Upton needs to clear medicals.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Upton is due $22.125 million in each of the next four seasons, and about $3.5 million for the rest of this season. His contract lasts through 2021.
Trade talks started to heat up once it became clear that the Detroit Tigers have given up on the 2017 season and are now in rebuilding mode.
