The new housewares and gift store POST in the Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood has just opened. But they have a great event lined up for later this month.
The new store will serve as a backdrop for pop up dinner which will feature a collaboration between Detroit based Sfumato Fragrances and New York City Chef and Caterer Tessa Liebman of Methods & Madness.
The dinner will feature five courses that will pair food and drink with Sfumato’s scents.
The menu includes dishes like fish cured with citrus and ylang-ylang, mocha valentino mole, fall soup and rose and lavender, apple sweet spiked with frankincense and black pepper.
The produce will be provided by Recovery Park. Which is a nonprofit that creates jobs for people who might not be able to get employment elsewhere.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Recovery Park.
There will be two opportunities to attend the Sensory Dinner on Friday, October 20 or Sunday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $88 per person and they can be purchased online.
