The 2015 North American International Auto Show is in full swing this week, bringing visitors from around the world to Detroit. While the NAIAS continues, the Detroit Experience Factory (DXF), a program of the Downtown Detroit Partnership, encourages locals and visitors to take advantage of its new Detroit Experience Pass.
The DX-Pass provides admission to seven of Detroit’s most popular cultural attractions at a discounted price. It’s the first package deal of its kind to offer Detroiters and visitors the chance to explore many of the city’s premiere museums, but it does have an expiration date. The pass is only valid for 8 days from the time it’s picked up.
For a one-time fee of $32, the DX-Pass may be used once as standard admission to the following attractions:
- Michigan Science Center
- Charles H. Wright Museum
- DXF Cultural Center Walking Tour
- Detroit Historical Museum
- Motown Museum
- Detroit Institute of Arts
- Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit
The DX-Pass can be purchased online at www.weknowdetroit.org/pass, and it can be picked up at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, the Detroit Historical Museum, or the DXF Welcome Center, located at 123 Monroe Street between Greektown and Campus Martius Park. In addition to picking up the DX-Pass, visitors to the Welcome Center will be able to snag a checklist of downtown bars and restaurants to explore. For visitors who can’t make it to DXF, the list will also be at the Cobo Center Welcome Desk.
To give both Detroiters and visitors a unique look at the city, DXF has arranged free People Mover Tours as well as bus and bar tours. The events promise a lively time on the town and include:
