Michigan Office Solutions (MOS) announced today that its new downtown Detroit location at 1001 Woodward Avenue is open for business. The company, a wholly owned subsidy of Xerox Co., provides cutting-edge 3D printing solutions and office technology. To celebrate its move, MOS is hosting a contest for Detroit non-profits.
Based in Grand Rapids, MOS moved over two dozen of its 265 full-time employees to its new Detroit location, which is owned and managed by Bedrock Real Estate Services. The 4,374 square foot office space overlooks Campus Martius Park and offers the company room to grow. It will house a technology showcase area, allowing the business’s clients to see 3D printing technology and Xerox technology in action.
MOS is the latest business to join the growth and bustle of downtown Detroit.
“We are thrilled to be a part of Detroit’s remarkable resurgence, honored and excited to contribute to the downtown movement,” said Ralph Slider, President of MOS. “Our new downtown Detroit office will not only positively contribute to the dynamic transformation of Detroit, it will allow us to service the needs of our current customers. Our new space will showcase Xerox technology and innovation.”
Before the company’s move to Detroit, MOS already had an interest in the city. In 2014, MOS was selected to be the official print services partner of the Detroit Red Wings.
To celebrate the company’s momentous arrival, MOS is hosting the first annual Make My NonProfit Run Better contest. The contest is only open to nonprofits in Detroit. Three winning organizations will receive more than $50,000 in office technology equipment from MOS. The deadline for entry is Saturday, February 7, 2015.
