Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), an international IT and business services corporation based in Detroit, will increase their ongoing support for the Michigan Humane Society. S3’s new partnership with Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., means that 20% of S3’s monthly fees will go towards the Michigan Humane Society.

“S3 has been a strong supporter of the Michigan Humane Society for many years, so we were thrilled when we learned about this opportunity through Grounds & Hounds’ sponsorship program,” said S3 CEO and President Cynthia J. Pasky. “One of the core pillars of S3’s community engagement is supporting animal welfare, and, with our Detroit office consuming over 45 pounds of coffee every month, our partnership with Ground & Hounds will certainly benefit the animals served by MHS. Partnering with Grounds & Hounds is one more example of how corporations can leverage their day to day investments to benefit the communities in which they operate. ”

Grounds & Hounds was founded in 2014 by Jordan Karcher, who combined his love of gourmet coffee and his desire to help abandoned animals. One-fifth of the company’s sales are donated to selected animal rescue partners around the country.

Because of Grounds & Hounds’ partnership with S3, the Michigan Humane Society will become the first Michigan organization to benefit from Grounds & Hounds’ sponsorship program.

“S3 is our first large corporate client in Michigan, and the Michigan Humane Society will also be our first donation recipient in the state,” said Karcher, founder and CEO of Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. “We are thrilled to establish a stronger presence in Michigan by working with a company that has been striving to make a positive impact in the Detroit animal rescue community for so many years.”

S3 has sponsored the Michigan Humane Society for more than 10 years. The company also donates thousands of service hours annually and maintains an active presence on the MHS Board of Directors. Paul Huxley, S3 Chairman, also serves as vice chair of the MHS board and chair of its Hope is Building committee.

“Through S3’s incredibly generosity and support of our mission, their leadership and employees have already helped save countless animal lives,” said Pepper. “Now, S3 has identified yet another way to help MHS and animals in need through something as simple as a morning cup of coffee. We, and more importantly the animals of Southeast Michigan, are very grateful for all they have already made possible, and for our continued partnership.”
