You may have heard the term, “That place is a sausage fest!” Well, I’m here to tell you about an actual sausage festival.
For 46 years, St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Warren has held a sausage festival to benefit the grade school there.
The festival has free admittance and runs from Friday, September 20 through Sunday, September 22 and will have rides, bands, a Vegas tent, a silent auction, and of course, sausage.
They’ll be selling a variety of sausages such as Weiswurst, Bratwurst, and Knackwurst along with the accoutrements of kraut and sour cream.
Beyond that there will be a full menu of Italian food like sausage subs, pasta, pizza and cannoli, and if that’s STILL not enough, there are hot dogs and loaded tots and fried pickles and… you get the idea. Here’s the full menu.
On the music side, there are bands, Polish dancers, and DJs.
A silent auction and a Vegas/Bingo tent is there too.
If you want to do the rides, it’s $45 but that’s for every ride all weekend.
For the adults, beer and wine will be available. I mean, what’s a sausage fest without beer?
And before I let you go, there’s a Polka Mass at 11 a.m. Sunday. Because, if you’re Catholic, why not?
Here’s the website with more information and the festival is at 32000 Mound Rd, Warren, MI 48092.
