Hello Detroit! I hope that by now you’ve processed the remainder of your Thanksgiving feast and preparing for a weekend full of holiday good timing.
The weather looks like it’s going to stay mild through the weekend, so now is the time to get out and enjoy some of the holiday fun around the city. If you’ve got friends and family in town this week’s list is just the thing to keep them entertained all weekend long.
Winter Wonderland – Friday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. – Grosse Pointe Shores
On Friday evening, all of your winter fairytale dreams can come true at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House grounds. Stroll beneath a under a canopy of twinkling lights, then sip hot chocolate around a fire with other guests.
Kids can even share their wish lists with Santa in his South Cottage Workshop.
This event is for all ages and children ages 2 and under are free. Tickets for the rest of the family are just $10, and for an additional $5, you can add a tour of the home during Winter Wonderland hours.

2015 Detroit Urban Craft Fair – Friday – Sunday – Detroit
Join the Detroit Urban Craft Fair as they celebrate their 10th anniversary at the Masonic Temple, all weekend long.
Presented by Handmade Detroit, the fair showcases more than 100 juried vendors selling traditional handicrafts with a modern twist, including jewelry, clothing, accessories, home decor, bath products, children’s items, and other handmade goods. Vegan restaurant The Lunch Room will serve food.

McClary Bros. Tasting Room Grand Opening – Saturday – 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. – Farmington
If you haven’t sampled the locally produced drinking vinegars from McClary Bros. then you’re missing out on something special. This unique treat is so good that the company made it to NBC’s hit show the shark tank, where they pitched the product to potential investors.
They’ve recently made their way onto supermarket shelves around the region, but you can go straight to the source this Saturday for the grand opening of their new tasting room in Farmington.
You’ll enjoy fun and delicious food and beverage demonstrations, giveaways throughout the day, and face painting for the kids!

Noel Night – Saturday – 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. – Detroit
Grab the family and get ready for one of the best holiday events in the city. That’s right, Noel Night is back for another year of holiday fun and they’re pulling out all the stops for their 43rd year.
The event will take over the Cultural Center in midtown, with free admission to Detroit’s some of Detroit’s cultural gems such as the DIA, Main Public Library, Children’s Museum, Charles Wright Museum, and more.
The list of activities are endless, and include carriage rides, caroling, and live music just to name a few.

Join Detroit sweethearts Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas as they celebrate yet another successful national tour with a very special show at St. Andrews in Detroit.
This group of soulful song writers have made a name for themselves across the country, including a performance on David Letterman just last year.
