Want a chance to grab a free cup of coffee and chat with your fellow Detroiters about the changes happening in the city? You can at Will Leather Goods’ Coffee and Conversation events. The gatherings will take place at Will Leather Goods in the Midtown neighborhood at 4120 Second Ave.
The first event is scheduled for Friday, April 1 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and features Karen Dumas, host of 910 AM Superstation’s “The Pulse.”
Dumas and her special guests will discuss the new Detroit and how it’s shaping our future. As a former communications official for the City of Detroit, Dumas will offer her insight on the importance of community as Detroit changes, grows, and evolves.
The second event in the Coffee and Conversation series is scheduled for Friday, April 8 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and features Allyson Martinek, a radio host in Detroit for more than 20 years. She will share her experiences as a radio host and will read passages from her new book, “Living on Air: A Radiogirl’s Quest for Fairness and Happily Ever After.”
Both events are free and open to the public. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary cup of Will’s Special Blend Coffee and an opportunity to network with hosts Karen Dumas and Allyson Martinek.
