The Detroit Historical Society is putting on a shindig for Detroit’s favorite ginger ale. We’ve already did a story of all the different events, you can find that here.

Motor City Pride

Motor City Pride, Hart Plaza

June is Pride month for the LGBTQ community, and the party will be in Hart Plaza. Saturday on the main stage two of RuPaul Drag Race finalists will take the stage. I know I am looking forward to seeing Kim Chi, and Adore Delano perform. The Pride Parade will start at noon on Sunday. Admission is $5 per person and children under 12 are free. Dean Savage Park Biergarten

Corktown Biergarten, Dean Savage Memorial Park

Batch Brewing is hosting a pop up biergarten in Dean Savage Park this weekend, starting on Friday night and runs through Sunday. Come out and help raise money to fix up the park. You can go to this post from earlier in the week; it has all of the fun details.

Home and Garden Tour, Indian Village

Have you ever wondered what the inside of the houses look like in Indian Village? You can go on a walking tour through Indian Village this weekend. This is the 43rd year of the home and garden tour, and it is sure to be a great time. Tickets can be purchased here and are $20.50 per person for one day, or $40.50 per person for two days. This year you can tour 8 historic homes, 2 gardens, 3 churches, and 2 schools. Hours are: Saturday 10:00 am-5:00 pm and Sunday 12:30 am- 5:30 pm.

Midtown Getdown, The Majestic

The Midtown Getdown is a monthly party that happens during the summer. Head over to The Majestic to listen to some of Detroit’s finest electronic music acts. There will also be a biergarten, a craft cocktail tent, tons of food, and pop up vendors. The event is free and all ages are welcome.

FRIDAY BONUS: Summer ’16 Rooftop Fashion Show, Data Consulting Group

We just had to add one more, since this is going to be a great party weekend. First Class Committee is a men’s fashion line that specializes in street wear. They will be hosting a summer fashion show on Friday night on the roof of the Data Consulting Group building overlooking downtown. The party starts at 7:00 pm, and the fashion show will start at 8:30 pm.
